About the Course

Our group language courses are ideal for people who want to learn a second language for professional purposes in a group environment. For each language, there are three proficiency levels: 1 (Beginner), 2 (Intermediate), and 3 (Advanced). The course is customised for the need of each group of learners.

The aim of the course is for learners to:

• Develop skills and knowledge of language required for each proficiency level;
• Learn and demonstrate appropriate sociocultural knowledge and sensitivity; and,
• Develop language learning strategies and intercultural communication capacity to use beyond the formal learning.

The course covers four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. However, emphasis may be given to certain skills to suit the needs of the learner. The course integrates sociolinguistic and sociocultural knowledge to enable the learner to communicate in the target language correctly and appropriately in a given context. The course incorporates a variety of topics and contexts, ranging from everyday casual conversation to formal professional contexts, to support learning for wider purposes.

• Certification: Statement of Attendance is available upon request for learners who have attended at least 80% of the course.
